Chesta Care isn’t just a business it’s a family. Founded by Suzana, Mahli, and Daniel, our team brings together lived experience, professional expertise, and a shared passion for supporting others.
We understand the realities of care because we’ve lived them. From personal family experiences to years of professional work, we bring compassion, understanding, and even a little humour into everything we do.
At Chesta Care, you’re not just receiving support—you’re becoming part of a community that genuinely cares.
I was raised in the Pilbara, where you learn early that life can be tough, the sun is relentless, and community means everything. That strong sense of connection has shaped who I am today and how I support others.
My journey into care became deeply personal while looking after my mum through her battle with breast cancer, and later, dementia. It gave me a real understanding of the challenges families face—and taught me that sometimes, a well-timed laugh can be justas important as a helping hand.
Alongside this, I’ve spent many years as a business owner. Together with my husband, I’ve owned and operated both a structural engineering company and a real estate agency—experiences I’ve genuinely loved and learned so much from. These roles have strengthenedmy professionalism, adaptability, and understanding of people from all walks of life.
Professionally, I’ve also worked in the employment sector, supporting people to build independence and find meaningful work. Along the way, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for people’s strengths, their potential, and the barriers they overcome… alongwith the occasional reminder that life always has a sense of humour.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family—usually in the kitchen cooking up something delicious and fussing over everyone until they’ve well and truly had enough of me.
We’ve also recently welcomed Lexi, our very loveable Labradoodle, into the family. I used to think I was in charge at home… but that role has quite clearly been reassigned. She now runs the show, and we’re all just along for the ride.
With over 20 years of experience in the care industry, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals across a wide range of disabilities including childrenand infants. Having lived in the Southwest of Western Australia my entire life I bring a strong sense of community compassion and reliability to the work I do.
I have extensive hands-on experience supporting high-care needs, including catheter management, dysphagia support, PEG feeding, hoisting, infection controland facilitating social outings.
I am confident in attending appointments, providing clear feedback, and consistently implementing and following allied health programs to achieve meaningful,person-centred outcomes. Building strong, trusting relationships with families and working collaboratively with allied health professionals is the core of my approach
As a mother I deeply understand the importance of providing care with the highest standards of respect, dignity, and empathy. My broad experience allowsme to adapt to individual needs and deliver goal focused support that promotes independence and enhances quality of life.
Outside my professional role I enjoy visiting local cafes for a good flat with and spending time backing cupcakes and sourdough.
Having spent my early years in the Pilbara before settling in the Southwest of Western Australia, I bring a diverse background and strong work ethics shaped by bothindustry and community experience. I began my career completing an apprenticeship as a Boilermaker Welder, before expanding into education by earning my Diploma in Training and Assessing.
For the Past 10 Years, I have worked in the education sector supporting youth and at-risk children – where I have been proud to provide mentorship, guidanceand a stable positive influence. This experience has strengthened my ability to connect with individuals build trust and support personal growth in meaningful ways.
I later transitioned into a support worker role after seeing firsthand the positive impact this work can have through my wife’s experience in the field.I am passionate about making a difference in people’s lives whether that though social outings meaningful conversations or simply being a consistent and supportive presence.
